Join us for the 2025 Shadows of the Past Candlelight Walking Tour.
Tours will be held at 7:00 and 9:00 PM on October 9, 10, 11, 13 & 14, 2025. The tour is designed to allow participants a chance to step back in time and see the shadows of our past. We will meander around the public square, sharing whispers of murder and mayhem. Then, we will dash along the side streets and hear the shadows tell their secrets of mystery and magic. Next, in the dark belly of the Southern Bastille, we will uncover the hidden truths of a Darlington sheriff. Finally, we will tour the haunted gallery and commune with Joseph.
General Information:
All tours begin at the Historical Commission & Museum at 204 Hewitt Street.
The tour is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Participants must be able to walk up and down stairs in limited light.
The tour will cover ½ a mile.
Tours are first-come, first-served, and limited to 25 participants per group – unless special arrangements are made in advance.
If one tour time is rained out, we will try for the second.
